Saxophone Lessons with Konrad

Konrad Wiszniewski has been touring and performing for over the last 20 years. A recipient of a parliamentary jazz award with Capella horn group brass jaw and 2 Scottish jazz awards have made him a sought after player from some of the countries top names including the Scottish National Jazz Orchestra, the BBC big band, new focus, the Alyn Cosker group, the Colin Steele quintet, Paul Towndrow sextet and opt acts such as the Brand New Heavies, Texas, Martha Reeves and Belle and Sebastian.

Stewart has been playing saxophone for over 40 years, playing in cover bands and as a solo cabaret act.

Having over 15 years teaching experience, he can help you take your first steps in playing or can help you take you’r playing to the next level

Experienced guitar tutor Daniel Barr has been building up the good reputation of the school for over three years now. All classes and lessons are taught in a relaxed, friendly and professional environment.

Brass Lessons with Emily Stokes

Emily is a recent trumpet graduate of the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland and Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, completing her Bachelor of Music (Honours) and Master of Music (Distinction) degrees respectively. She is a member of the brass trio Triquetra Brass and brass quintet Spitha Brass, as well as being a member of the Kirkintilloch Kelvin Brass Band since 2015. Emily was awarded the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s David James Brass Prize for Chamber in 2017 and 2019 and was a finalist in the Conservatoire ‘Governors Brass Recital Prize’ in 2018. Whilst studying in Wales, she was the recipient of a ‘Universal Music UK Sound Foundation’ Scholarship and gained places on apprenticeship schemes with the Welsh National Opera and the BBC National Orchestra of Wales. Emily has been fortunate enough to play at prestigious events such as the 20th Anniversary of Scottish Parliament, the Victoria International Arts Festival in Gozo, Malta and in support of Twin Atlantic at the opening ceremony of the 2019 Solheim Cup. Since returning to Scotland, she continues to work as a freelance musician in both orchestral and chamber music settings and has recently become the conductor and instrumental teacher for the King’s Park Youth Brass Band. Emily has experience teaching brass instruments from beginner to advanced level and receives students of all ages and abilities and offers in-person and online tuition.
